Uninterrupted, just 10 minutes

One thing I’ve struggled with a lot as an artist is overworking my paintings. My professor in college used the word ‘muddy’ a lot. With this series I’m forcing myself to work against that urge by giving myself a time limit.

10 minutes. That’s all I get. 10 minutes to make a painting, even if it doesn’t turn out the way I wanted to, it just has to be done. Prioritize things like perspective and light and the overall composition, but know that it doesn’t have to be perfect.

If you have a photo or set of photos that you’d be interested in submitting for this series, please let me know!
